What’s up with the 388?
The 388 is currently the only bus route along 88th Avenue in Surrey and is really the only serious east-west route between 104th and 64th, connecting 22nd Street Station and Carvolth Exchange. Right now, it runs only during peak hours on weekdays, meaning there is no transit option along this corridor during off-peak hours or on weekends.

TransLink’s new investment plan proposes to upgrade the 388 to all-day weekday service, which is a positive step to ensure riders aren’t left stranded if they work non-standard hours. However, we’ve heard from some riders that TransLink can do better and extend the service to weekends as well.
Tell us what you use the 388 for and how we can make it better!
We know the 388 is used not just to get to work, but for many other reasons: shopping, visiting family, accessing services, and connecting with friends. Because it’s the only east-west connection in this part of Surrey, it plays a vital role in linking neighbourhoods.
Would the weekend 388 service help you get to work, school, or family? Would it make your travel safer or more convenient? Tell us more, so we can learn what other improvements are required.
Make sure to fill out our survey on the 388 by September 5th.
