Municipal elections to elect mayors and city councillors are coming up on October 17th, 2026. Movement is asking you to pledge to vote for candidates who will push for better transit!
Local governments have some of the most power to fix problems with transit, so we’ve asked candidates to commit to:
- Installing transit priority to make buses faster and more reliable
- Expanding sidewalks and improving bus stops to make bus stops more comfortable
- Increase housing along transit routes to improve access to transit
- Fund transit expansion through new revenue tools to make transit more abundant
As the election draws nearer, we will publish our full candidate pledge and list of candidates who have signed on.
